Clay Lane – 39 Dwellings, near High Wycombe

On behalf of Vistry Partnerships, AM2 Planning helped obtain planning consent for 39 dwellings at Clay Lane, Booker, near High Wycombe.  The site was previously in the Green Belt, but through submissions to the emerging Local Plan on behalf of previous landowners, Andy successfully made the case that the site was appropriate to be removed from the Green Belt and accommodate housing to serve the Council’s housing requirements.

The Wycombe Local Plan was subsequently adopted in 2020 with a housing allocation at Clay Lane, Booker.  The submitted application incorporated an enhanced area of public open space and proposed the introduction of a tree belt to two of the boundaries to help mitigate its impact on the surroundings. A mix of dwellings was proposed and following a number of amendments made in response to residents’ concerns, the application was approved under delegated powers in March 2022.
